hey y'all!
i'm brandy nichole
I am a mom to an amazing 15-year-old young man, Aidan, & a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's in Kinesiology while also preparing to apply for Physical Therapy Assistant school & potentially a Doctorate in P.T. later down the road. I am based in San Antonio, Texas which I have called home for the majority of 12 years. I am a United States Air Force Veteran where I served 7 years on Active Duty as a Medical Laboratory Technician at Brooke Army Medical Center & the Armed Services Blood Program.
I have an unwavering love for all living things; people, animals, & plants (crazy plant lady is an understatement) + photography which captures all of the raw moments of life. I have been very passionate about photography since I was a young girl. In fact, at age 13 I once setup a backdrop with a blanket in the backseat of a truck while on family vacation & took photos of my younger sister & nephew on a throwaway camera. This was one of many times that my grandmother had film developed only to find my very amateur aspirations of someday becoming a photographer. In high school, I had the opportunity to use a professional camera for the first time as a photographer on the yearbook staff. One of my most favorite memories from that time was being sent to a weekend long course in Dallas to learn the camera even further & having the opportunity to shoot at the Dallas Farmers Market, which has stuck with me into my adult years. Fast forward to the year 2010, not long after my son was born, to me purchasing my first camera - a Nikon D3000, which I still photograph with. In the fall of 2023, a year after separating the military, I began using my G.I. Bill to pursue a degree that I could use with photography, graphic design, digital marketing, & social media management. In that first semester of college, I enjoyed my Kinesiology class so much so that I decided to change my degree path to Kinesiology which led me to Physical Therapy, as I have also been very passionate about fitness & physical well-being.
Photography has the ability to capture all of life's rawest moments to tell a story, which leads me to say: my goal in being hired as your photographer is to capture these moments that will last a lifetime & beyond for you & your loved ones - & generations to come.
